Warm Meals/Warm Hearts
The Warm Meals Warm Hearts ministry started more than 13 years ago
with the purpose of providing a warm meal to the elderly in our community on
Sundays. This ministry provides weekend food delivery to individuals in the Granby and South Hadley community who participate in Meals on Wheels during the week.
Immaculate Heart of Mary parish participates in this ministry and is responsible for the preparation and delivering warm meals on the First Sunday of each month. This important and rewarding service Ministry is accomplished by the participation of many volunteers who contribute their time and talent in a variety of functions; whether it be route coordinating, food shopping, baking, preparation, packaging, or meal delivery. We also need kitchen help and all monetary donations go directly to the ministry.
Meals are prepared our kitchen in the Parish Hall on designated Sunday mornings and are ready for delivery by 11:00 a.m. Each of the delivery routes takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. COVID protocols are followed.
Please contact Deanna at (413) 467-9821 at our parish office to learn more about participating in this most rewarding ministry.
